Meet Maddie Droste

Maddie Droste, 2026 Berea Arts Fest Scholarship Award Winner

The Berea Arts Fest is proud to recognize Maddie Droste as the recipient of the 2026 Berea Arts Fest Scholarship. While maintaining academic excellence, Maddie demonstrates the passion, leadership and commitment to the performing arts that this award celebrates.

Maddie is a talented and hardworking performer who is pursuing further education at Baldwin Wallace University this fall. Her unwavering commitment to theater, music and dance is evident by her impressive portfolio. Her extensive theater credits include her role as Katalyn Hunyak in “Chicago: Teen Edition”, Alice in “Bye Bye Birdie’ and Hope Harcourt in “Anything Goes” to name a few. Maddie has been honored with numerous awards including Gold in OMEA as a soloist, 2nd Place in Alliance Show Choir Solo Competition and 2nd Place in Strongsville High School Teen Idol. 

Maddie demonstrates her leadership skills in Theater Club as Co-President and is a member of the following organizations: Tri- M Music Honors Society, Jr. Optimist Club, National English Honors Society, Principals Leadership, Strongville High School’s Show Choir, Symphony Orchestra and Honors Chorale Cantorum. Outside of the classroom, Maddie hones her musical talents through private lessons and group classes. She is fully committed to dance through training in tap, ballet, musical theater and even swinging trapeze.

Maddie Droste is a shining example of how talent, hard work, and passion can come together to shape a bright future. We’re excited to see where her journey in the performing arts takes her next—and we know it will be somewhere extraordinary.
